Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use ideactivo.com, whatever their ability, device or assistive technology.
Last updated: October 21, 2026.
Our goal
We work to make the site conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at level AA. This commitment follows the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States and the principle of equal access to information in Costa Rica's Law 7600 on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Ley 7600 de Igualdad de Oportunidades para las Personas con Discapacidad).
What we have done
- Semantic structure with ordered headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) and a "Skip to content" link.
- The whole site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and controls, and color is never the only signal.
- Alternative text on meaningful images.
- Responsive layout with no horizontal scrolling from 320 pixels wide and at up to 200% zoom.
- Respect for the system's reduced motion preference.
- Content visible without JavaScript and touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- Each page declares its language, with full versions in English and Spanish.
How we check it
We review the site with automated tools (axe, Pa11y and Lighthouse) and manual keyboard, zoom and screen reader testing before publishing changes. Automated tools do not catch every issue, so your feedback matters.
Known limitations
Some third-party content we link to, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube or WhatsApp, is outside our control and may not meet the same accessibility level. If a video or image in a case study is not accessible to you, we can give you the information in another format.
Report an access barrier
If you find content or a feature you cannot use, tell us which page it was on and what technology you were using. We will reply and look for a fix or give you the information another way.
